Mr. John W. Brigman died of an
impaired heart at his home in Pee
Dee village Aug. 9th. The funeral
was held from the home Aug. 10th,
conducted by Rev. M. C. Ellerbe, as-
sisted by Rev. Bruce Benton. Inter-
ment was at Mizpah cemetery, where
his brother, S. L. Brigman, was buri-
ed June 28, 1923.
Mr. Brigman was born in South
Carolina April 12, 1859, the son of
Jacob and Eliza McLeod Brigman.
He came to Richmond county many
years ago, and some of his expert
handiwork can be seen in buildings
in this community. He was an ex-
pert with tools and the building jobs
entrusted to him were certain to be
satisfactorily completed.
Surviving are his wife and eight
children. These are: Sallie, Annie
and Joe Brigman of Rockingham;
Mrs. Maggie Woodard and Mrs. Min-
nie Warner of Kannapolis; J. O. and
J. J. Brigman of Chesterfield; Mrs.
Lola Mangum of Florence.

All the details of this obituary fit Joshua Wilson Brigman. I believe John W Brigman is an error.
The S. L. Brigman referred to as his "brother" is actually his son Sandy Luther Brigman.
A few transcriptionist and/or printer mistakes here for certain.
